Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend A.Badalova / Toys posing a danger to health have been withdrawn from sale, the Economic Ministry said on 21 November. These toys were mainly of Chinese origin.
The organization for protection of consumer rights has received too many complaints lately about poor quality and dangerousness children's toys.
The State Service on Control over the consumer market at the Ministry of Economic Development carried out checks in the trading facilities involved in the sale of toys. Spot checks at 29 trading facilities found violation of the law; absence of relevant documents confirming the origin and quality of toys.
Fines were imposed on trade facilities involved in trading toys.
