Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 November / Trend corr. N.Ismaylova/ Average monthly salary in Azerbaijan as a result of January-October 2008 comprised AZN 260.2, or 23.9% more than in the same period of 2007, State Statistical Committee said.
The highest salary was maintained in the extractive industry, in finance, real estate operations, rent services, as well as construction sector.
Employees of enterprises and organizations received social allowances worth AZN 10.9mln. The main receivers were those engaged in extractive industry, production and distribution of power, gas and water, processing industry, transport, and communications.
In January to October, 2002, the average salary exceeded average money incomes of population per capita by 34.7%.
In January to October, 2008, the nominal income of the population totalled AZN 1930.7mln, which is 35.7% more as compared to the same period of 2007. The nominal income per head made up AZN 1757.2, which exceeds the figure of 2007 by 35.6%.
During the reported period, the money incomes of population totalled AZN 16.504bln, an increase of 35.7% from last year. Real money incomes of population during this period reached AZN 15.02bln, with an increase of 37.1%.
During ten months of 2008, population spent 65.2% of their personal incomes for goods and services, 9% for tax payment, social insurance and compulsory membership fees, 25.8% for accumulation and increase of capital.
