Kazakhstan, Astana, 3 December / Trend corr. K.Konirova/ The Kazakh Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning has discussed opportunities to expand goods turnover between Kazakhstan and Turkey from the current $2bln to $5bln, Trend correspondent reported from Astana.
Bakhit Sultanov, the Kazakh Minister of Economy and Budget Planning, and Atilla Gunay, the Turkish Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kazakhstan, discussed this issue during a meeting.
The sides have exchanged their opinions on the current economic policy of both countries and programs on stabilization and development of economy under conditions of the global financial crisis during the meeting.
" Kazakhstan is an example of stability and development in the Eurasian space," Gunay said.
Sultanov made a report to the Ambassador on major directions of industrial and innovation development of the country, as well as stressed possible aspects of future development of trade and economic relations between the countries.
The officials mentioned great opportunities of development of bilateral cooperation in the baking sector, agriculture, transport and logistics, tourism, as well as interactions in fields of education and health.
According to the Ambassador, diversification of bilateral relations will enable to establish regional financial centre in Astana.
