Kazakhstan, Astana, Jan. 6 / Trend , K. Konirova/

The procedure for legalizing import and export operations was simplified and the integrated customs system for controlling foreign economic activity (FEA) participants was introduced in Kazakhstan, the Kazakh Finance Ministry reported. The relevant decrees were approved at a meeting of the Kazakh government in spring 2008, the ministry said.

The new system for FEA participants envisages reducing the number of documents required to conduct import and export operations, as well as the time necessary for their legalization. The participants can also legalize their documents through widely available service centers.

In addition, representatives of the transport, veterinary and sanitary-epidemiological control will leave the border. These functions will be commissioned to the Kazakh Finance Ministry's Customs Supervision Committee in line with the Geneva convention.
