Georgia, Tbilisi, Feb.10 / Trend corr N. Kirtzkhalia / The Georgian railway ordered works to Tbilisi electric locomotive construction plant in amount of 19.5 million lari ($1-1.6730 lari) in 2009, a source in the works told Trend .
On Feb. 10, the plant fulfilled the order for 2008 and submitted the fifth electric train, envisaged within 5 million lari contract on modernization of passenger trains, to the customer - the Georgian railway.
The contract envisages constructing three new trains and modernization of eight passenger trains in 2009.
The process, launched in 2008, on substitution of old regional electric trains to modernized trains is to be completed in 2009.
