Ashgabat will host the Islamic Development Bank managers' summit in June 2009. The summit will open great perspectives for large involvement of foreign investments in Turkmenistan," the bank's President Ahmad Muhammad Ali Al-Madani said.
The president said it will also favor mutual strengthening of Turkmenistan's interaction with members of the Organization of the Islamic Development (OIC), the IDB president said at a private meeting with Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov, the Turkmen media reported.
Al-Madani arrived in Ashgabat to partake in the conference on providing energy security. Moreover, he stressed topicality of Turkmenistan's initiatives which has laid a base for a large international dialogue on energy cooperation issues.
Berdimuhammedov and Al-Madani also discusses perspectives of cooperation in trade-economic, health and education fields, as well as coordinated joint projects.
