Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov decreed to sign a contract with the British IC Energy Limited company to hold the International investment forum on Oct. 15-17 in 2009.
From Turkmenistan, the Trade-Industrial Chamber will sign the contract. A staff of the organization commission has been approved. The document says the event will be held to further develop Turkmenistan's trade and economic relations with the developed countries, increase volume of foreign investment in different fields of the national economy, finance projects implemented in the country, as well as discuss ways of mutually beneficial and efficient cooperation.
Turkmenistan is one of key natural gas suppliers in the Caspian region and does not have huge foreign debts.
