Over four months of this year, nearly 2159.1 million manat was invested in the economy of Azerbaijan, an increase of 5.2 percent from the figures of the previous year. According to the data provided by the State Statistics Committee, private enterprises and organizations invested 668.2 million manat (30.9% of total investments) in Azerbaijan's economy and public enterprises and organizations - 1490.9 million manat (69.1%).
Investments for repair and construction works increased 29 percent to 1505.3 million manat. Investment for the construction of production facilities totaled 1765.4 million manat, while non-production facilities totaled 393.7 million manat.
Foreign investments with special weight of 17.5% amounted to 378.6 million manat. Internal investments with special weight 82.5% totaled 1780.5 million manat.
Internal investments increased by 40%, while foreign investments reduced by 51%.
Investments in the oil sector made up 29.1% of capital investments to country's economy (628.7mln manat), non-oil sector - 70.9% (1530.4mln manat), which is 40.8% more than the 2008 figure.
So, 39 percent of investments fell on industrial sphere, 3.5 percent - agriculture, 1.2 percent - trade and services, 1.3 percent - construction, 35.4 percent - transport, 1.2 percent - communication, 1.8 percent - health care, 1.2 percent - education, 8.3 percent - operations with real estate (6.6 percent - housing), 2.9 percent - other spheres.
Some 952.4mln manat was invested in the construction of the facilities being financed by 2009 Public budget (20.2%).
The investments by the enterprises and organizations amounted to 876.9 million manat (40.6 percent of total investments), bank credit - 64.8 million manat (three percent), the budget - 998.9 million manat (46.3 percent), of off-budgetary funds - 136.5 million manat (6.3 percent), community funds - 81.9 million manat (3.8 percent), and other funds - 0.1 million manat.
