The largest Russian brewery Baltika which bought Baku-Kastel (formerly Baku brewery) plant in 2008 intends to produce five decaliters of beer in a summer season, the company's president Anton Artemyev said at the presentation of the Baltika beer in Baku.
"It is planned to increase production to 10 decaliters a year in future," Artemyev said.
During the presentation, the Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin said that funds deposited by the Baltic, is one of the biggest Russian investment in the Azerbaijani economy. A total of 20 million was invested in modernization of the plant.
"We hope that the plant will produce high-quality products, open new jobs will be opened, tax deductions to the Azerbaijani budget will be increased, as well as foreign trade will be developed at the expense of exports," the Ambassador said.
