Currency reserves of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan increased $115.3 million or 2.3 percent in January-June, the Central Bank said on July 3.
"Currency reserves of the bank hit $5077.2 million in the end of quarter," the message said.
As of January 1, reserves of the Central Bank were in the amount of $6137. As of February 1, level of currency reserves of the Central Bank hit $5975.9 million, As of March 1, it hit $5636 million.
As of the first quarter of 2009, Azerbaijani strategic currency reserves (given funds of the State Oil Fund and the government's deposits) hit $16 billion compared to $18.2 billion as of January 1.
