Kazakhstan intends to deliver 1.5 million tons of grain to Egypt in 2010, Kazagro JSC Board Chairman Asyljan Mamitbeyov said while giving a speech at the Agriculture Ministry Board attended by Prime Minister Karim Masimov.

"Kazakhstan will resume grain export to Egypt in the amount of 1.5 million tons in 2010," he said.

Mamitbeyov said the supplies will be carried out under the framework of the agreement signed between JSC NC "Food Contract Corporation" and the Egyptian company Venus International.

In 2009, Kazakhstan's grain yield was 20 million tons. A similar result was achieved in 2007.
