In connection with opening of the new arm of the Araz river it became necessary to construct pipe to pass water in some spans of the Azerbaijani Railways, the CJSC Azerbaijan Railways press-service head Nadir Azmammadov said.
About 15 pipes for the passage of water have been laid at 86 kilometer of the span Jalilabad - Girmizikend under the railway bed.
The works are held by the Infrastructure Department of the CJSC Azerbaijan Railways. At present, six pipes with diameter of 180 cm have been laid. All works will be completed within the week.
