Micro-lending in Azerbaijan increased by 2.6 percent in May

As of early May, the total assets of members of the Azerbaijan Micro-finance Association (AMFA) increasing by 0.7 percent hits $3.66 billion compared to $3.635 April 1, the AMFA said.

As of early May, the total assets of members of the Azerbaijan Micro-finance Association (AMFA) increasing by 0.7 percent hits $3.66 billion compared to $3.635 April 1, the AMFA said.

The number of employees of credit institutions, dealing with microfinance reaches 7,479 people.

The total loan portfolio of organizations hit $2.13 billion compared to $2.14 billion April 1. Number of active clients reached 437,431people. The share of portfolio under risk (by exceeding the maturity of the loan by 30 days) amounted to 8.27 percent. The volume of written-off loans as of early May amounted to $2.77 milion.

The total microcredit portfolio amounted to $463.37 million compared to $451.6 million as of early April or more than 2.6 percent. The share of portfolio under risk hit 3.16 percent.
