Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijani insurance company Qarant Sıgorta Vagif Hasanov will attend the U.N. Global Compact Leaders Summit June 24-25 in New York. Hasanov was invited to the event by U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon.
The summit will be attended by leaders from nearly 1,000 countries who will discuss making a more efficient transition to a profitable and stable business environment.
The purpose of the summit, which was founded in 2000, is to develop a strategy for global businesses and organizations to build their activities on universal principles and thus support U.N. initiatives, Some 7,000 organizations from 135 countries have joined the initiative.
Qarant Sigorta began its activity Nov. 27, 2007. The company was founded by the Zqan Holding. Its authorized capital is 4 million manat.
