Oil products hit 98 percent of Azerbaijan's exports

In January-July, Azerbaijan imported goods worth $2,40bln or 68.61 percent of the total amount of the country's import from foreign countries (excluding the CIS countries) compared to the same of 2009, the State Customs Committee said.

Vehicles (9.53 percent), electrical machinery and equipment (8.90 percent) and machinery and mechanical installation (22.67 percent), ferrous metallurgy products ( 9.02 per cent) were imported to Azerbaijan from the far abroad.

The country exported goods worth 10,873bln or 90.55 percent of the total amount of the country's export to foreign countries.

Mineral fuels, oil products, bituminous minerals (97.95 percent of total exports), ferrous metallurgy (0.39 percent), natural and cultured pearls, precious and non- precious stones, precious metals coated with precious stones and their products, jewelry, coins (0.36 percent), plastic materials and products made of it (0,33 percent), sugar and confectionery products (0.18 percent) were mainly exported from Azerbaijan.

There is red ink worth $8,466million with the foreign countries on import-export transactions.
