Azerbaijani bank’s deposit portfolio increases in September

As of Oct. 1, 2010, the Azerbaijani Texnikabank's assets totaled 472.94 million manat, increasing by 0.9 percent in September, the bank said today.

Return on assets (ROA) hit 1.77 percent, return on equity (ROE) - 13.47 percent.

The bank's authorized capital amounted to 53,685 million manat, while aggregate capital - 63.74 million manat.

The deposit portfolio of the bank reached 219.2 million manat in September, increasing by 3.8 percent. Physical entities' deposits amounted to 168.27 million manat. General obligations of the bank amounted to 393.44 million manat.

The loan portfolio decreased by 0.9 percent and hit 313.95 million manat. Texnikabank allocated loans to consumers in the amount of 31.63 million manat.

The bank's income amounted to 46.42 million manat, including interest income - 36.5 million manat, non-interest income - 9.91 million manat. The bank's costs amounted to 38.19 million manat.

The net profit of the bank totaled 8.21 million manat as of October 1 compared to 4.46 million manat in September.

The number of active cards in early August totaled 42,445 units. Texnikabank installed 57 ATMs and 207 POS-terminal. The bank has 35 branches and five offices.

Texnika Bank has been operating on the banking market since 1993. At present, the majority shareholder of the bank is World Wines company. It owns 75 percent stake. Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Etibar Aliyev, controls 15 percent of the shares, and the U.S company Kazimir Investment Caspian Fund - 10 percent stake.
