Consumer prices and tariffs for services increased by 0.9 percent in Azerbaijan in October compared to previous month, the State Statistics Committee reported.

Consumer prices and tariffs for services increased by 0.9 percent in Azerbaijan in October compared to previous month, the State Statistics Committee reported.

Food prices rose by 1.4 percent, while non-food products by 0.9 percent, tariffs for paid services to the public and prices on industrial goods increased by 0.2 percent.

Price hikes were also observed on foodstuffs, such as flour, buckwheat, bread, pasta, beef, lamb, chicken, fresh fish, milk, sour cream, cheese, eggs, butter, vegetable oil, bananas, pears, quince, persimmons, cucumbers, tomatoes, pepper, garlic, onions, and potatoes.

Prices on clothing and footwear, as well as construction materials increased.

Tariffs for passenger transportation to CIS countries by air and rail also decreased, while air transportation increased last month.
