Black ink in foreign trade operations of Azerbaijan exceeds $12bln

Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover with 143 countries comprised $22.502 billion in January-October, the State Customs Committee reported. The black ink of import-export operations amounted to $12.228 billion.

In total 6,767 legal entities (3.322) and physical entities (3.445) participated in the foreign trade operations.

The amount of export increased by 50.2 ($5.803 billion) percent as compared to the same period of 2009 and comprised $17.365 billion.

The share of public sector in exports totaled $16.408 billion (94.49 percent), private - $0.878 billion (5.06 percent) and individuals - 78.932 million (0.45 percent).

During the report period, imports increased by 3.57 percent and totaled $5.136 billion. The share of public sector in import operations amounted to $1.259 billion (24.53 percent), the private sector - $3.607 billion (70.23 percent) and individuals - $269.278 million (5.24 percent).

In January-October, Azerbaijan exported 2,022 types of goods and imported 5,818.
