The new air flight that will connect Dushanbe and Baku will be opened in February-March 2011, Tajikistan's ambassador to Azerbaijan Zokir Vazirov told Trend.
The diplomat said that upon a mutual agreement, the new flight Baku-Dushanbe-Baku will be opened next year. An agreement is expected to be signed between the Tajik Airlines and Azerbaijan Airlines JSC.
Inter-governmental agreement between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan on the air connection was signed in March 2007 during Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Tajikistan, and the opening of direct flights between Dushanbe and Baku was expected in late 2008.
