The Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport plans to commission the intellectual traffic system in Baku in October this year, Azerbaijani Deputy Transport Minister Musa Panahov told Trend.
He said that the work is underway to electrify all stops. It is necessary to install the scoreboard. All the equipment has been brought from abroad.
The project cost is about $ 77 million.
It is planned to create about 639 sites (pockets) for buses, 140 sites for taxi.
These operations are conducted jointly with the traffic police and Korean specialists, involved in the preparation of the intellectual system.
The intellectual system involves the installation of 150 new electronic traffic lights.
