Azerbaijani major bank’s assets increases by 9 percent in 2010

As a result of 2010, net profit of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) hit 8.681.840 manat, the bank said. Total revenues amounted to 99.206 million manat and expenditures - 63.961 million manat.

IBA completed last year with assets at 5 527.92 million manat, which is 8.99 percent more than the similar figure in 2009.

Bank's loan portfolio decreased by 3.59 percent to 3.760.812 million manat. IBA sent 374.618 million manat to consumer lending.

The total amount of deposits of legal and physical entities (excluding deposits from banks and other financial institutions) amounted to 1,972.78 million manat. Deposits from physical entities during the reporting period amounted to 716.19 million manat increasing during the year by 33.62 percent.

IBA total commitments as of Jan.1, 2011 amounted to 4 862.407 million manat, with a 9.5 percent increase.

Aggregate capital of the International Bank was formed at the level of 509.027 million manat, including the authorized capital - 240 million manat.

Ratio of net income to average balance of assets of the bank (ROA) is 0.94 percent, and net income to average balance on the balance equity (ROE) - 7.72 percent.

As of Jan.1, 2011, the IBA has 37 branches. At present the bank has established 605 ATMs and 2,932 POS-terminals. The number of the bank's active plastic cards as a result of 2010 amounted to 1,762,029 units.

The official exchange rate is 0.7958 manat to $1 on Feb. 9.
