External public debt of Georgia hit $4004.46 million as of Jan.31. The country's external debt was $ 3936.882 million by late 2010, the Georgian finance Ministry told Trend.
The figure increased by 1.7 percent within a month. The indicator of external debt also increased over the same period in 2010.
As of Jan.31, 2010, external debt was $3428.068 million. According to the Ministry, $2 911.68 million of the total volume fell to international financial organizations and $589, 566 million bilateral loan agreements.
As of Jan. 31, 2011, the size of the loans taken under the state guarantee is $3.515 million, and Eurobond debt - $ 500 million.
