The Anglo-Asian Mining plc company, the only gold producer in Azerbaijan, determined the buyer for its copper concentrate sale, the company reported. It will soon make its first transaction.
The company produced copper concentrate containing approximately 104 tons of copper, 762 kg/26,879 oz of silver and 2.3 kg/81 oz gold produced during the first quarter.
Sales of the first 400 tons of copper concentrate have been agreed upon with the government. Now the party is under a final analysis before the sale in order to receive the buyer's consent - Seagate Minerals and Metals Inc. Anglo Asian is also discussing another sale contract with the government.
Anglo Asian Mining owns the rights to develop six fields in southwest Azerbaijan, including Gedabek, Ordubad, Gosha Bulag, Gizil Bulag, Vejnali and Soyutlu. The concession is based on PSA agreements signed with the Azerbaijani government in Aug. 1997.
