About 7,160 cars were imported to Azerbaijan in January-February. It is 14.8 percent more than the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee said.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the total value of cars imported in January-February amounted to about $64.79 million, or 28 percent more than in January-February 2010.
During the report period, 535 trucks were imported to Azerbaijan, or 10.8 percent less than the January-February last year. The total value of imported cars totaled about $10.04 million, or 34.9 percent less than last year.
The republic imported 125 buses, or 25.6 percent less than in January-February 2010. Buses worth $5.07 million were imported in January-February, or 39.8 percent less than the same period last year.
Some 208 trucks were produced in Azerbaijan. which is more by 2.7 times compared to January-March 2010. During this period, about 89 cars were produced, which is less by 14.4 percent compared to January-March 2010.
