Assets of DemirBank increased by 11.5 percent

DemirBank's assets as of June 1, 2011 amounted to 315.5 mln manat, which exceeds the same indicator of the previous year by 32.5 mln manat or 11.5 percent, the bank said on Thursday.

DemirBank's assets as of June 1, 2011 amounted to 315.5 mln manat, which exceeds the same indicator of the previous year by 32.5 mln manat or 11.5 percent, the bank said on Thursday.

Volume of the loan portfolio also increased by 18.4 percent and reached 236.8 mln manat.
Total value of customer deposits as of June 1, 2011 is equal to 115.5 mln manat. Value of population's deposits has reached 91.5 mln manat, which represents a 12.7 percent or 10.3 mln manat increase.

As of June 1, 2011 DemirBank's shareholders capital amounted 20 mln manat, while total regulatory capital reached 48.5 mln manat.

One of the first banks of Azerbaijan, DemirBank (formerly called Azerdemiryolbank) started its operations in October 1989. Shareholders of the Banks include large international financial institutions, such as European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO).
The official exchange rate is 0.7879 manat to $1 on June 16.
