The Georgian coast guard has detained a tanker flying under the flag of the Marshall Islands, the Georgian Border Police said.
The "MARILENA II" tanker was detained as a result of operational activities in the Batumi port for violating the navigation rules.
An administrative case has been filed against the captain, Romanian citizen Rtsean Constantini.
