Uzbekistan, Tashkent, Sept.21 / Trend, D. Azizov /
The business activity index (BAI) of industrial sector in Uzbekistan, calculated by the Antimonopoly Policy Improvement Centre of the Uzbek State Committee of De-monopolization, decreased by 1.8 points and amounted to 59.9 points in August 2011, a report published on the State Committee website on Wednesday says. In July the index hit 61.7 points.
The BAI value in August is more than 50 points, which means a favorable trend of business activity development, the report says.
The experts of the Antimonopoly Policy Improvement Centre believe that the main reason for the decline is the relative instability of world markets and expectant business conduct.
The business activity index of the industrial sector is calculated based on survey of 100 large and medium industrial enterprises.
The index is calculated based on five key indicators, such as new orders, production and sales volumes, employment and remnants of the finished product.
