Governments of Georgia and Ukraine expect to increase the amount of bilateral trade and investments.

As noted during the Georgian-Ukrainian business forum in Tbilisi on Friday, the Ukrainian business is interested in studying the investment environment in Georgia and investing.

"Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine brought about 100 businessmen to Georgia. I did not expect that there will be such an interest in Georgia. The interest is more and more businesses want to come to Georgia, which is a prerequisite to strengthen Georgian-Ukrainian economic relations. It is also important that the Ukrainian delegation arrived in Georgia to study its experience of reforms," said Prime Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergei Tigipko in his turn said that the economic relations between the two countries are developing rapidly and there is no political tension between them.

"Trade turnover between Georgia and Ukraine in 2010 increased by 32 percent, and this year the growth rates will be even higher, because the current business forum will further increase the amount of investment. There are no political problems between us," said Tigipko.

The Ukrainian delegation included representatives of companies working in spheres such as agriculture, finance, telecommunications and tourism.
