The average number of hired employees in Azerbaijan was 1.37 million people in October 2011, or 847,600 people have been working in the public sector, 522,100 people - in the private sector, the State Statistics Committee said today.
Of the hired employees involved in the production spheres: 36,400 people in oil sector of economy, 1.33 million people in non-oil sector, 1.329 million people in non-agricultural spheres, 21.6 percent of hired employed in production, 78.4 percent in the sector of services, 24.5 percent in education, 19.7 percent in trade, 12.3 in industry, 9.8 percent in health and social services, 6.3 percent in construction, 4.8 percent in transport, 3 percent in agriculture, 1.8 percent in communication and information technologies and 14.5 percent in other sectors of economy, the message said.
The State Statistics Committee said that the average salary of hired employees in Azerbaijan hit 360.9 manat in October or 8.7 percent more compared to early 2011.
