The National Entrepreneurship Support Fund under the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry transferred 138 million manat to finance 1,643 investment projects in 2011, the ministry said on Wednesday.
The implementation of these projects contributes to the creation of more than 6,500 new jobs.
The event on state support of entrepreneurship in the regions was held in the village of Shikhli, Gazakh region on Wednesday. The loans totaling 551,000 manat were allocated to 41 entrepreneurs within a meeting. About 80 new jobs will be created through these loans.
About 296 loans totaling 3.8 million manat were granted to Ganja- Gazakh entrepreneurs for the 2011. Nine projects worth 11.8 million manat were based on the introduction of new technologies, 287 projects worth $2 million covered other areas. It is planned to open 950 new jobs through these loans.
The fund was established in 1992.
