Head of the National Intellectual Property Service of Georgia Irakli Gvaladze has today paid a two-day visit to Azerbaijan. As Gvaladze told journalists before his departure, the main goal of his visit is protection of the Georgian products on the Azerbaijani market.

Head of the National Intellectual Property Service of Georgia (Gruzpatent) Irakli Gvaladze has today paid a two-day visit to Azerbaijan. As Gvaladze told journalists before his departure, the main goal of his visit is protection of the Georgian products on the Azerbaijani market.

During his visit Gvaladze will meet with his Azerbaijani counterpart.

"Azerbaijan is one of our major trading partners, and therefore, protection of the Georgian products on this market now is very actual," he said stressing that protection of the Azerbaijani products on the Georgian market will also be discussed.

It should be noted that Georgia is the coordinator of the World Intellectual Property Organization in the region. In this regard, Gvaladze actively meets with leaders of the patent organization of 11 countries in the region.
