The removal of radioactive carbon from Chui region of Kyrgyzstan will start on February 3, Kyrgyz Minister of Emergency Situations Kubatbek Boronov said on February 2, CA-NEWS reported.

General Prosecution instituted criminal proceedings on the supply of radioactive carbon in the Chui region.

During the meeting on the relevant issue, First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Aaly Karashev said that ministries and agencies related to the importation of radioactive carbon did not react properly to this fact.

"The work of the heads of ministries and agencies has not been conducted with due care. I have been charging for 10 days to take strict actions against those who were able to prevent importation of radioactive carbon," Karashev demanded.
Heads of ministries and departments have reported on measures taken for the export of coal.
