Italy is ready to allocate 30 million euros to finance trade and investment projects in Georgia, the Chamber of Commerce of Georgia told Trend on Friday.

During a working visit to Italy, Chamber president Kakha Baindurashvili held a meeting in the city of Vincenzo. He held a special presentation of the economic potential of Georgia, reforms, investment and business opportunities for local businesses.

Georgian Ambassador to Italy, Konstantin Gabashvili attended the meeting when talks were held with representatives of the Investment Agency under the Finance Ministry of Italy, which expressed willingness to cooperate with Georgia.

Alitalia airline held a special presentation for the Georgian delegates. An agreement was reached to start regular flights Rome-Tbilisi-Rome three times a week from July 2.
