In Jan.-March, Azerbaijan imported about 16,420 cars, or 43.4 percent more than in Jan.-March 2011, Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee told Trend today.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the total cost of passenger cars imported in Jan.-March amounted to $146.55 million, which is 40.3 percent more than in Jan.-March 2011.
In Jan.-March, Azerbaijan imported 1,799 trucks, which is 92.6 percent more than in Jan.-March 2011. The total cost of imported cars hit $38.43 million or 133.2 percent more than in Jan.-March 2011.
In Jan.-March the country imported 289 buses, which is 61.5 percent more than in Jan.-March 2011. In Jan.-March buses were imported to the amount of $16.5 million, which is 86 percent more than in the same period of 2011.
