Tajikistan decreases cotton export by 2.3 percent

Tajikistan decreased the export of cotton fiber during the first five months of 2012, Avesta.tj reported on Monday.
This index decreased by 2.3 percent or by $2.7 million compared to a similar period of last year.
According to the state customs service, during the mentioned period the country exported over 63,700 tons of fiber worth over $110.5 million.
The Tajik major cotton-fiber importers are Turkey, Iran, Russia and Latvia.
