Kazakhstan's economy has positive dynamics of development

A positive trend in the development of the economy can be observed according to the report of Agency on Statistics of Kazakhstan on the results of 2011.

GDP was 27.3 trillion tenge ($1 - 147,8 tenge) in 2011 increasing by 11.2 trillion tenge compared to 2008. GDP increased by 5.6 percent in January-March 2012 compared to same period last year.

Industrial output amounted to 6775.3 billion tenge during January-May 2012.

In 2011, an increase in the production of manufacturing was 6.2 percent in the mining sector - 1.3 percent.

Goods worth 1.9501 trillion tenge is produced during January-May 2012, an increase by 6.8 percent.

The largest increase is observed in the following manufacturing industries: machine building - 16.4 percent, light industry - 11.5 percent, pharmaceuticals - 9.6 percent, manufacturing non-metallic mineral products - 7.6 per cent, chemistry - 3.7 percent.

The task of increasing productivity in the manufacturing industry not less than by 1.5 times is implemented.

Thus, labor productivity in the manufacturing industry is growing in the republic, exceeding planned targets. The increase was 32.1 percent in 2011 compared to 2008.

In January-May 2012 the figure was $20 300 / person, an increasing by 6.4 percent compared to the same period in 2011 and by 34.8 percent compared to 2008.

The largest increase compared to the same period last year observed in the light industry - by 1.7 times, the pharmaceutical industry - 13.3 percent, manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products - 7.3 per cent, chemistry - 4.2 percent.

There is a significant growth in non-oil exports.

In 2011 this figure amounted to $22.2 billion, increasing by 85 percent compared to 2009. The volume of non-oil exports amounted to $7 billion in January-April 2012, increasing by 13 percent compared to the same period last year.
