Georgian Minister on Environment Protection Georgy Zeginidze and CE ambassador to Georgia Philip Dimitrov officially launched the project on effective waste management. Representatives of accredited diplomatic corps took part in the meeting.
The project budget amounts to 3 million dollars and is planned to adapt a system of effective waste management; environment improvement and development of waste management policy; strategy and action plan forming; development of legislation in this field.
The final purpose of the project is provision of clean environment through introduction of modern EU experience and strengthening of institutional potential at the national level.
