New check point launched between Turkey and Azerbaijan late in 2013

New check point Diluju between Turkey and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic will be commissioned late in 2013, Turkish deputy minister of customs and trade Ziya Altunyaldiz stated at the meeting of customs service heads in Nakchivan, IHA agency reported on Friday.

New check point Diluju between Turkey and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic will be commissioned late in 2013, Turkish deputy minister of customs and trade Ziya Altunyaldiz stated at the meeting of customs service heads in Nakchivan, IHA agency reported on Friday.

In his words, establishmen of new check point will cost 34 million liras.
Altunyaldiz noted that total volume of Turkish countries' GDP amounts to $1.3 trillion with total population of 103 million people. This data is indicator of trade potential between Turkic countries.

"Trade turnover between Turkic countries amounts to $10 billion. We are going to increase these indicators" Altunyaldiz added.

According to the deputy minister, Turkic countries have to do their best for realization of 'Silk way' project as soon as possible.

The meeting of Turkic countries' customs service heads was held recently in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.

The meeting of customs agency experts was held on October 4, the meeting of member cstates of customs organizations (Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan). Representatives of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, which are observer states, also took part in the meeting.
