Iranian Parliament (Majlis) urgently approved a bill in support of developmental investments, national production, and amending the current Iranian calendar year (started March 20, 2012) budget act with 193 votes out of 246.
ISNA News Agency reported that 193 MPs voted in favor of the bill, 14 MPs voted against and 26 others abstained.
According to the draft, foreign exchange income earned from oil sales is also added to government revenue.
Based on the reports, 36 MPs drafted the bill with the purpose of preventing recession and paying greater attention to production and investment.
The current calendar year's 5.66 quadrillion rials (approximately $461 billion) budget bill was approved on May 17.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad presented the administration's draft of the national budget bill for the current year to the Majlis on February 1.
The Integration Committee of the Majlis had approved dollar price to be set at 12,260 rials in the current year's budget bill. The Industry Committee of the Majlis had also approved $85 oil price in drafting the bill.
