In April 2013, the export volume of Turkish goods to Azerbaijan increased to $237.5 million compared to $228.6 million for the same period last year, a report by the Turkish Exporters' Council published on Wednesday on its official website said.
According to the report, Azerbaijan's share in Turkey's exports amounted to 1.6 percent. Total Turkish exports rose by 7.9 percent year on year, reaching $11.8 billion.
The range of goods exported by Turkey to Azerbaijan (including the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic) consists of wood products (worth $ 24.5 million), cement ($30.8 million), gems and jewelry ($4.4 million), production of iron and steel ($14.4 million), non-ferrous metals ($3 million), leather ($2 million), other products ($179,000), electricity ($26.7 million), carpets ($2.3 million), chemical products ($48.3 million), machinery ($16.5 million), textiles ($1.8 million).
The largest portions of Turkish exports in April 2013 belonged to Germany ($1.038 billion), Iraq ($ 910 million) and the UK ($624.6 million)
