Kazakh Transport Ministry to allocate about $2 billion to road construction

The Kazakh Transport and Communications Ministry will spend over 300 billion tenge ($1.98 billion) on construction of various types of roads in 2013, E-commerce center reported.

"The Transport and Communications Ministry plans to make the largest purchases among the state bodies in Kazakhstan in 2013 (356 billion tenge). The main part of purchases of the Ministry (309 billion tenge) falls to the services on construction of highways, roads, streets and airdrome runways," the center said.

The total amount of e-procurement planned by the state bodies will hit 1 trillion tenge (151.38 tenge = $1).

The Kazakh Education and Science Ministry's procurements are planned to be made to the amount of 90 billion tenge, the Interior Ministry's procurement's will hit 64 billion tenge, the Agriculture Ministry - 60 billion tenge.
