In the near future, Russia intends to start negotiations with Georgia on the issue of direct air communication.
"Russia is ready to start negotiations and presumably the representatives of this sector will meet in the near future," the Special Representative of the Prime Minister of Georgia for Relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze said on Tuesday.
According to him, the opening of direct flights between the two countries is in the interests of Georgia. In particular, according to Abashidze, it will expand the list of scheduled flights from Georgia and have a positive impact on the cost of tickets.
