The manufacturer of flight simulators CAE Company (Canada), has announced the sale of two simulators, an S-92 and a AW139, to Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL). This is stated in a report released by the manufacturer on Thursday.
The delivery of these simulators is planned for 2015.
Two Sikorsky S-92 A type helicopters were purchased by Azerbaijan in 2010.
The process of delivering of 10 helicopters of this brand to Azerbaijan Airlines will start this year.
Earlier, the airline placed an order for the purchase of eight AW139s helicopters as well as a pre-order for the purchase of two AW189s.
Four AW139s helicopters and two AW189s will be used for shipping, two AW139s for the emergency medical service, one for search and rescue operations and another for VIP transport.
Delivery of the helicopters will begin in the second half of 2013 with the total transaction value amounting to 115 million euros.
