Some 30 industrial units come on stream in Iran’s Gilan province

Some 30 industrial units have come on stream in northern Gilan province in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year, which started on March 21.

The private sector constructed the units at the cost of 2,810 billion rials (some $92.13 million based on the USD rate at the free market), the IRIB News Agency reported.

By inauguration of the mentioned units some 650 job opportunities have been created.

Some 250 more industrial units are also scheduled to come on stream in the Gilan province by the end of the current calendar year (March 20, 2014).

The projects would be completed at the cost of 8 trillion rials (some $262.3 million based on the USD rate at the free market).

Once the projects come on stream some 5,000 job opportunities would be created.

Currently some 3,000 industrial units are active in the Gilan province. Some 85,000 people are working in the units.
