The amount of agricultural equipment purchased by Agroleasing JSC between 2005 and 2013 increased by over twofold, Agroleasing Board Chairman, Ali Bayramov's article published on Monday in the official press, said.
"In particular, in 2005 Agroleasing purchased 260 combines, 330 tractors and 747 units of other agricultural machinery. A total of more than 2,700 vehicles were purchased in 2013 through the company: these include 251 combines, 880 tractors and 1,570 units of other agricultural equipment," Agroleasing head said.
The article said that since the beginning of operations in 2005, Agroleasing generally purchased and delivered to the country some 16,485 units of agricultural equipment, including 1,136 combine harvesters, 4,757 tractors, 184 excavators, 10,408 units of other various equipment and trailers, 150 sets of production equipment, 33,43,60 tons of nitrogen fertilizers, 54.21 million tons of super phosphate, 301.7 tons of pesticides.
Bayramov noted that more than two-thirds of the purchased equipment was leased to farmers.
"Regardless of the form of ownership, some 11,029 units of equipments were leased to 6,286 individuals and legal entities, including 306 grain combines, 3,821 tractors, 112 excavators and 6,790 different purpose trailers," the article said.
Agroleasing JSC is included into the balance sheet of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Agriculture. It was established on Oct. 23, 2004.
The company focuses on the improvement of the agrarian sphere and support of entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan through the purchase of various agricultural equipments and their lease to local landowners.
