The industrial producer price index decreased by 0.4 percent in Georgia in September 2013 compared to August, while by 4.6 percent compared to September 2012.
The Georgian Statistics Agency told Trend that price changes in a number of sections had the main influence on index formation in September 2013 compared to the previous month.
The prices decreased by 8.3 percent in the mining industry and the share of the section in the total index decreased by 0.39 percentage points.
In this section, the highest rate of price decline was registered in a subsection of the mining industry (except for the production of heat and power minerals ) - 12.1 percent.
Prices reduced by 1.4 percent in the production and distribution of electricity, gas and water and the share of the section in the total index decreased by 0.21 percentage points.
