The EU will help the Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes improve its employees' skills, the Ministry told Trend on Thursday.
According to the ministry, the EU and Azerbaijan will start implementing twinning project "Support to the Ministry of Taxes of the Republic of Azerbaijan in building capacity for sustainable development of its Human Resources" in November.
The EU will allocate 1 million euros to finance the project over the course of two years (plus three months for the beginning and end of the project).
According to national legislation and world practice, the main goal of the project is to assist the ministry, in particular, the HR- department and education center to develop a personal training system. After the project is implemented, a human resource development strategy and an action plan, as well as guidance on the implementation of this strategy must be worked out for the Ministry of Taxes.
The EU announced a tender in July to determine the partner. The bid submission deadline ended in September. The results will be announced in November. Only state bodies of EU countries could participate in the tender.
