The operations on railway tariff unification on all routes have been conducted in Kazakhstan, Kazakh Minister of Economic Integration Zhanar Aytzhanova said at a government meeting at the Majilis (Lower House of the Parliament) on Monday.

"Railway tariffs in exports, imports and domestic routes were unified for Kazakhstan's accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) from 2006 to 2013," she said.

According to her, this work on the implementation of the agreement adopted in the field of railway transport together with Kazakhstan, was also held by Russia and Belarus before January 2013 within the Customs Union.

"This allowed ensuring exports from Kazakhstan through Russia to Western Europe at the rates that Russia is using towards its producers," the minister said.
