Baku will host the second national forum of insurance agents on December 11, Chairman of Azerbaijan Insurers Association (AIA) Orkhan Bayramov told Trend on Nov.26.
According to Bayramov, the forum will be organized by AIA with support of the country's Ministry of Finance.
Around 200-250 insurance agents will participate at the forum which accounts for 30 percent of the total number of insurance agents in the country. In addition, representatives of AIA, Finance Ministry, Compulsory Insurance Bureau and the country's insurance companies will participate at the forum.
According to Bayramov, currently the product sale to individuals rapidly grows in Azerbaijan's insurance market and with the growth of retail, the number of agents also increases and this makes it topical to hold this forum.
The amendments to the legislation will be discussed at the forum. According to these amendments, currently agents obtain licenses for a period of three years, but not perpetually as it was earlier, as well as the increase of their professional level, new sales channels and so on.
