Azerbaijani insurer plans to increase premium fees in 2014

Azerbaijani insurance company Alfa Sıgorta JSC expects a threefold increase in the volume of insurance fees.

The company plans to collect around eight million manat worth of premiums this year, while in 2013 the fees amounted to almost six million manat, head of the company's board of directors, Eldar Aliyev told Trend on Jan.7.

"We intend to pay special attention to the development of health insurance in 2014 and to this end we have already created a special call center and have involved experienced staff. We began to work in this direction only recently, but have already won in the tender of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan," Eldar Aliyev said.

The company will continue to expand its branch network, according to Aliyev. Currently, Alfa Sıgrta has five branches and the company can open another one in 2014.

Founded in 1997, Alfa Sıgorta is a subsidiary of Bank Technique JSC and is one of the oldest companies of Azerbaijan's insurance sector.
